In Norse mythology, the cataclysmic events of Ragnarök (“Twilight of the Gods”) will plunge the cosmos into darkness and chaos. The trembling of the great world-tree Yggdrasil will shake the foundations of the earth and shatter the fetters that hold Fenrir prisoner. With eyes ablaze, he will extend his great jaws from sea to sky, devouring everything in his path and killing Odin.
